In-Conference Food Options


In-Conference Catered Lunch

This year, we are pleased to announce that there will be an option to pre-purchase catered lunch for conference. Lunch will be offered from Tuesday to Friday and will be served directly in the conference venue, the Palacio Municipal de Congresos, so that delegates do not have to venture far outside to find food options during conference. Each day will offer a different menu, as detailed below, with a comprehensive menu including an entrée, salad, and a light dessert. Furthermore, there will be vegan and vegetarian options provided, as well as accommodations for other dietary restrictions.

All of the material used to pack and serve the food will be eco-friendly and recyclable.

The price of the in-conference lunch pass for four days (Tuesday to Friday) is $85. We realize that this price seems rather steep at first, however relative to the other options around the area combined with the added convenience of being able to have lunch catered to the conference will make the pass very useful for delegates. Furthermore, we will be opening a large foyer area in the Palacio for those who purchased the in-conference lunch pass, so delegates will have plenty of room to sit down and enjoy their meal in between committee sessions.

Please note that you must purchase the in-conference lunch pass no later than March 4th, two weeks before conference, as we need to communicate to our catering company the exact number of meals and types of meals needed for conference.

Committee Dinner

The Committee dinners of this year’s edition Harvard WorldMUN will take place at various VIPS restaurants around the city. VIPS is an established restaurant chain serving a wide variety of dishes for all types to dietary options, and is recognized throughout the city as a convenient yet quality option for food.

Committee dinners will take place on Thursday, March 21st from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. (right before the social event for that night). The total price per menu is $20 and will include an appetizer, individual entrée, dessert or coffee and refillable drinks (including beer and wine). If you would like to attend committee dinner, you must purchase the ticket and reserve your spot no later than March 4th, or two weeks in advance of the conference so we have accurate numbers for capacity.

The WorldMUN team has worked extensively with the various VIPS restaurants to provide food options for most dietary restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and other options.

The dinners will take place in different locations (all signaled in the map with a red star). All of them are located no more than 15 minute-walk away from the gala venue; the social at Nazca Club (signaled with a purple star). Delegates will be divided into committees in the different restaurants available. The specifics on the locations will be given once the spots are filled in. The restaurants are: VIPS Azca, VIPS Orense, VIPS Paseo de la Habana, VIPS Bravo Murillo, and VIPS Padre Damián.

Lastly, the VIPS managers have been so active in developing the dinners with us, that are going to give out discount cards for every delegate. With this discount cards they can have breakfast, lunch or dinner with 10% off in their order in any VIPS restaurant outside of the committee dinner.
