The Special Application Committees are WorldMUN’s non-traditional committees, ranging from crisis simulations, to non-governmental organizations and third party actors. These committees are generally small in size (15-30 delegates), demand high levels of debate and as the name suggests, require an application. Applications are due by 11:59pm EST (GMT -5), November 15, 2011.
In order to submit a special application you will need access to your delegation's MyMUN account. Please check with your Head Delegate for the username and password for your university's MyMUN login or request your head delegate to send you the url to an application. You will hear back about the status of you application by early-December 2011 at the latest. An application to one committee is considered an application for all Special Application Committees.
If you apply for a special application committee you do not need to be added to the regular delegation list by your Head Delegate.
We strongly recommend that you first write and save your application on a Word document on your computer, then copy and paste it onto the application form in order to ensure that your application isn’t suddenly erased due to any web browser crashes!
Application Instructions:
1) Log into your delegation's/university's MyMUN account. You can gain access to this through your Head Delegate; check with them for your username and password.
2) Please keep your answers within the word limits (given in square brackets after each questions). These are upper limits, so don’t worry if your answers aren’t that long – you won’t be penalized!
3) If you are applying to more than one Special Application Committee, please rank your preferences. You may rank up to three committees and if you are applying to more than one committee, you will need to complete the application questions for all of your committee preferences.
