Dear Delegates,

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the Specialized Agencies of WorldMUN Vancouver!
For returning SA loyalists, you already know what makes our organ so special – a close-knit
environment ripe with unceasing debate…often literally. For those of you new to WorldMUN,
you’re already in the right place in this smallest of MUN organs. Regardless of your previous MUN
experience, your interest in these seven groundbreaking committees indicates that you have the
resolve to stand above the rest and take ownership of issues most pertinent to shaping the world
today.

WorldMUN has time and time again been called the “Olympics of MUN,” and I’d elaborate that
the crisis scenarios of the SA are the gripping events everyone is itching to watch. From Cold War
Vietnam to imperial standoffs in Africa, no other SA has spanned history and geography quite
like this one. Your fellow delegates, dedicated chairs and assistant chairs, and the lively city of
Vancouver await you for the best of what Model United Nations has to offer. Welcome, again, to
the vanguard organ of WorldMUN 2012.
