Welcome to the Specialized Agencies!
My name is Reihan Nadarajah and I am the Deputy Secretary General of Specialized Agencies at WorldMUN 2010. In the United Nations, the autonomous Specialized Agencies consists of bodies that are independent to the key organs of the United Nation, but is incorporated into the United Nations System, acting under Articles 57 and 63 of the United Nations Charter. These agencies, while independent, often work with each other, and other United Nations organs in a wide variety of fields.
At WorldMUN, the Specialized Agencies organ is home to the conference’s most competitive committees where intense debate, crisis simulation and diplomacy meet. Apart from the Security Council and IMF, these committees are application-based. Each Specialized Agency committee seeks the strongest delegates, and brings them together in simulations that range from traditional Specialised Agencies, to crisis committees that deviate from the traditional United Nations structure. The SA organ this year sees WorldMUN’s first ever Joint Crisis Committees, as well as its first Foreign Language Committee.

WorldMUN 2010
The Country/Committee Matrix lists a tentaive list of countries and the committees in which they are represented in at WorldMUN 2010. The matrix also lists if committees are single or double delegation (marked by either "1" - single delegate, or "2" - double delegate), and show the tentative character lists in crisis commitees. Please refer to this matrix as your delegation submits your country preferences through your MyMUN account, by referring to the projected number of committee spots for each country and the number of delegates your delegation has. The WorldMUN team will assign delegations country/committee assignments by early-February.
