SETTING THE COURSE FOR THE FUTURE
Harvard World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) held its very first conference in 1992 in Miedzyzdroje, Poland. In 2016, it celebrated its 25th anniversary in the city of Rome, Italy.
The past twenty-five years of WorldMUN have been remarkable. They have seen twenty-five entirely different conferences and host cities across six continents. They have helped foster intellectual debate and connections across international borders in an increasingly globalized world. Most importantly, they have brought together world leaders, distinguished officials, and delegates from all corners of the Earth with one ultimate objective: learning how to harness our potential for social impact and develop creative solutions to daunting challenges facing the global community.
With the extraordinary foundation these past twenty-five years have provided, WorldMUN is now ready to host its twenty-sixth session in Montréal, Canada. The upcoming session will not only build on the rich history and fundamental principles that have guided WorldMUN, but also propel the conference to a new frontier of greater diversity, higher level of commitment to social impact, and better delegate experience than ever before. As WorldMUN moves beyond these past twenty-five years and into the future, one thing is for certain, the next step in WorldMUN's journey is going to be one of the most brilliant, engaging, and exciting yet.
