Hotel Options

Tokyo provides delegates with a wide variety of different accommodation options across multiple price points. This year, WorldMUN has secured reduced hotel room rates at our conference venue, the Westin, which will provide easy access to all committee rooms as well as quick access to the multiple social events venues and the heart of life in Tokyo. We highly recommend that delegates book a room at our conference venue.

In addition, we have put together a list of recommended hotels of all price ranges as well as a convenient link to each hotel booking page. These are not the only hotels that you may stay at during your time in Tokyo, but we highly encourage you to book through one of these options if you have chosen not to stay at our conference venue.

It is important for delegates to note that Japanese hotel rooms are often much more compact than those in North America and Europe: they sometimes feature lower beds and smaller living quarters. Some budget hotels will also have shared bathroom facilities. If delegates would like to ensure that they receive a large and spacious “Western-style” hotel room, we recommend that they book a room at the Westin hotel, our event venue.

The Westin Tokyo Hotel (★★★★★)

About the Hotel

The Westin, which will serve as our conference venue for WorldMUN 2020, offers spacious “Western-style” hotel rooms that are a short elevator ride away from committee rooms. The hotel rooms are some of the most luxurious in Tokyo; selected room and suites allow guests to enjoy views of the iconic Tokyo Tower and to truly embrace the Japanese capital. The Westin also features restaurants, cafes, and a traditional Japanese garden in its center. The hotel is connected to one of the largest shopping and food centers in the city and also features indoor access to the JR Ebisu train station.

The Location: Ebisu

The Westin is located in Ebisu, a quiet and upscale area that is often ranked as the most desirable location in Tokyo for young adults to live. Just minutes away from JR Ebisu Station, corporate offices, shopping and entertainment options in Tokyo, the hotel holds one of the best locations in the city, making for a simple decision for those considering where to stay in Tokyo. Delegates who stay in Ebisu will be in the center of Tokyo, minutes away from famous restaurants, tourist destinations, and the imperial capital.

Location Highlights:

  • Minutes away from Roppongi (the nightlife district), Shinjuku (commercial district), and Harajuku (shopping district)

  • Convenient access to famous sights such as Shibuya crossing, Meiji Shrine, and Tokyo tower

  • Over 350 restaurants within one mile with lunch prices ranging from 500 yen to 1500 yen (or approximately $4.60 to $13.80)

  • Access to some of the most popular bars of any area in the city, many featuring all-you-can-drink options starting at 1500 yen ($13.80)

  • Proximity to several iconic museums and entertainment options within walking distance of the hotel

Rates:

We have negotiated the following reduced rates for delegates:

  • Deluxe King Room: 35,000 yen per night (approximately $320)

  • Deluxe Twin Room: 35,000 yen per night (approximately $320)

We strongly encourage delegates to stay at the Westin during their time in Tokyo. Delegates will find that the ability to easily access committee rooms, conveniently bloc and network with others, and avoid the Tokyo morning commutes presents immeasurable value.
