Martina Jaramillo
Martina Jaramillo is a sophomore at Harvard University studying Economics and Government with a minor in Computer Science. Born in Italy and half Ecuadorian, she later lived in Switzerland and mostly grew up in Miami. She conducts research at MIT and Harvard Kennedy School on climate adaptation, including early-warning frameworks for drought risk in West Africa, and on how governance structures affect food security and agricultural resilience. At Harvard, she works with the Harvard Public Opinion Project, is involved with Harvard Undergraduate Consulting on Business and the Environment, and is active in Model United Nations, recently serving as a committee director at a conference in Australia! Outside academics, she enjoys collecting special edition books, photography, spending time outdoors, and discovering the best dessert spots in every new city she visits!
